• East Norriton Dance Machine

  I keep meaning to stop and talk with Poppys Bergin but I always see him from the opposite side of Germantown Pike and my choices are: try to turn around somewhere or jump out of my car and run across the street. Both options seem less than perfect. Turning around might do the job, but I could also lose track of him because of all of the traffic. The latter option might scare him off, and I don’t think that’s the best way to land an exclusive interview. I’m bound to run into him eventually on the same side of the street.

• Earthquake along East Coast

  A 5.9 earthquake hit Virginia and shook most of the East Coast. Residents in East Norriton and surrounding areas such as Blue Bell experienced shaking buildings and rattling windows. An unexpected event for an area not known for earthquakes, many evacuated their workplace and contacted friends and relatives in other cities. As cell phones carriers were overwhelmed, Facebook and twitter proved to be a more reliable form of communication until phones were back online. Still others brushed off the event as though nothing had happened. Details emerged rather quickly leaving many unsure of how to proceed with the day. The earthquake occurred around 2 pm EST and could only be felt for a few seconds in most parts of Montgomery County.

  At Norristown State Hospital on Friday about 4 or 5 people appeared to be on strike, or protesting. Are we facing the same problems here in Montgomery County as we have seen in Wisconsin? The crowd seemed to be representing the SEIU. If that is indeed true, it was likely members of SEIU Local 668.

• The Complexity of Truth

  Being philosophically minded I tend to seek the truth.  From my earliest days I remember being disenchanted with the lies and deceit that exist among nature and humanity.  It didn’t take long for me to conclude that “there are no truths”.  It took me even less time to realize the problem with my statement.  For in declaring that there are no truths I have incidentally created one.  I found this article that suggests even to speak the phrase “there are no truths” requires as many as 15 truths.  I found it to be an excellent read.

  There is no truth

  It’s called a self-refuting statement. It’s as if I said, “I can’t speak a word of English.” If I said it in English, of course that would be self-refuting. This is one of those statements. Even to utter the statement itself is a statement of truth, and so the statement that there is no truth can’t stand. It defeats itself.

• “Volume of right to know requests have taken toll”

  Well what exactly does this mean??? I don’t know but the almighty kind and generous google decided that of all things I show up in a search for that phrase.

  It all starts with “The Right to Know”. The right to know what? According to Pennsylvania legislators, YOU have the RIGHT to know INFORMATION!

  It has something to do with homeowners having the right to get transportation in the form of a borrowed vehicle to get somewhere to find something out. Make sense? It doesn’t matter cause the program SUCKS.

  If you want to know something, do it how everyone else does it. Figure it out your goddamn self!

  Also anyone landing here searching for information on RTK is seriously removed and a victim of googles horrible algorithm. This site has NOTHING to do with “Right to Know” and this is the LAST place on earth you should be seeking information regarding it. Get off your lazy ass and go to your township building or something.

  Oh wait, if you’re interested in RTK you don’t have a vehicle? What a circle jerk mess you’ve gotten yourself into.
