• CONCERN to Host Comedy Show Fundraiser

  On Friday, May 18^th CONCERN’s Southeast Regional Office will be holding their 2nd Comedy Show Fundraiser at Chuckles Comedy at the Valley Forge Beef and Ale.  Their first show, held in November, was a sold out event and this one promises to be even bigger and better than before!

  I was fortunate to have attended their show in November and it was an absolute blast.  I’ve been to those swanky overpriced comedy clubs that shuffle you around like cattle, and this is an excellent change of pace.  The tickets are only $20 and all money raised goes to the direct benefit of foster children throughout Southeastern PA.

  When we attended in November, we arrived about a half hour early and mingled with some of the comics and other patrons.  The atmosphere was really laid back and everyone was so friendly.  But that’s the kind of crowd one would expect from good people who go out to support a great cause on a Friday night.

  Each comic presented their own unique style of comedy which kept the show flowing and the audience laughing.  Before we knew it the show was over and then they started raffling off all kinds of great prizes.  Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend taking advantage of this local entertainment venue!
